Parental Interest Groups
There are currently 7 Parental Interest groups
You can get involved by joining a group at any time
The Groups are:
| Group | Aim |
| Events and Fundraising Group | The events and fundraising group are involved in setting up events to raise money for the school. |
Communication Group | This group facilitates communication between the parents and the school, principally between the primary school community and the Senior Management Team. |
| Homework Group | The Homework Interest Group are involved in helping staff compose a new homework policy for Riverside through consultation. |
Music Group | The aim of the Music Group is to promote music in the school and encourage more children to become interested in music activities. Also organise music events e.g. concerts/ceilidhs. |
| Health Promotion Group | The Health Promotion Group's aim is to work with the school to promote a healthy and active lifestyle. The group is currently researching what goes into children's lunchboxes! The objective is to put together some ideas for healthy lunchbox alternatives which appeal to parents/carers and children. |
Playground and Environment Group | The aim of the Playground and Environment group next term is to continue to develop the playground area. |
Welcome and Family Room | The Welcome and Family Room group run a programme of informal chats where professionals come and give advice on anything from Internet Safety to Healthy Eating. |
